Longerenong Agricultural College Secures $2 million Funding Boost

The State Government has announced a $2 million upgrade for Longerenong Agriculture College in Horsham as part of its Delivering for Regional and Rural Victorians Program.

Urban Enterprise are pleased to have prepared the Horsham Economic Development Strategy 2017-2021, which identified the redevelopment of the College as a key action to transform Horsham into a leading education provider for the agribusiness sector.

A key priority for the strategy was to capitalise on the region’s competitive advantage in primary industries, including the provision of additional support for Horsham’s agricultural education sector.

The proposed upgrades at Longerenong College consist of a refurbished agri-business centre that includes student classrooms, an auditorium, a computer laboratory, and a student resource centre. Longerenong’s student amenities will also be upgraded to create one multi-functional facility.

Urban Enterprise congratulates the College on securing the funding and looks forward to the future benefits that this development will provide for Horsham’s education and agriculture industries.
