Snowy Valleys Destination Management Plan and Visitor Services Strategy

Urban Enterprise prepared Snowy Valleys Council’s inaugural Destination Management Plan and Visitor Services Strategies, which were both recently adopted by Council.

Following the 2016 amalgamation of Tumut and Tumbarumba Shires, the new Snowy Valleys Council was keen to recognise the important role tourism could play in diversifying and growing the Snowy Valleys economy, building upon the iconic assets of the Snowy Hydro Scheme.

The Destination Management Plan and detailed action plan provides recommendations on sustainable product and experience development across the region, positioning the region as a unique nature playground and an emerging cycling destination.
