$3.2 million for Boroondara North East Community Hub and $876,150 for Swan Hill Regional Livestock

The announcement of Round 3 of the National Stronger Regions fund has seen the awarding of $3.2 million for the outstanding multi-purpose North East Community Hub (NECH) at the rear of the Greythorn shops in North Balwyn.

Urban Enterprise prepared the Economic Impact Assessment for the co-located community facility on behalf of the City of Boroondara, as input into the funding application. The project services clients with higher needs and will increase collaboration and support community members across lifespan.

$876,150 in Federal funding will see vast improvements to the productivity and safety of the Swan Hill Regional Livestock Exchange. This important project for the local economy will implement best practice in livestock welfare and achieve water management efficiencies.

A feasibility study was undertaken in 2010 by Urban Enterprise and updated in 2016 as part of the funding application for this significant regional development project and we are very pleased to see it receiving national support.
