Tourism North East Cycling Optimisation Masterplan and Business Case

Urban Enterprise was engaged by Tourism North East to complete a masterplan and business case to enhance and optimise cycle tourism across the North East of Victoria.
We initially completed an Interim Report for the project, which demonstrated the North East’s competitive advantages in cycling, market growth and market potential, and identified immediate priority projects for progression. The report was instrumental in securing $12 million for cycling optimisation in the North East in the State Government budget.
Following the interim report, we prepared the Masterplan and Business Cases for priority projects. The project promotes a coordinated regional approach to source government and private sector investment in rail trail, cycling and mountain bike infrastructure, product and services. The project was instrumental in securing significant investment into the region and growing cycling visitation and visitor expenditure.
